After that here is what he shared on his project page.
I've had some pretty cool projects through the years, ranging from chiptune albums to missing invisible bicycle signs, but I can't think of any of them that have allowed me to connect with so many strangers in such intimate ways before. Usually, I'm nowhere close when people experience my art in the wild. While handing out books on Monday, I had one gentleman tell me about what it was like being openly gay in the military back when Don't Ask Don't Tell was introduced, "I'd come back to my barracks and find a new Chick Tract on my bed every night. They started appearing everywhere on the base."
One of the folks I've heard from is a really bright young kid named Conner Haines. Conner has been making apps since he was 11 (!!!) and is currently working on a Kickstarter project of his own that helps make games and apps for terminally ill children (I've posted the video for that below). He wrote to tell me about concerns he has for my project and soul. With his permission I've posted his full email and my reply. As much as we might not agree with each other, I think it's great that we were able to discuss our criticisms with each other so civilly.
Our two messages where posted here.
He then posted it to Facebook and here are the nasty comments from his Facebook post.
And oh the few from his twitter post.
I sent this letter because when I have the chance to share the reason for living this life which is Jesus Christ I do.
I had the chance of a life time to travel to China for 2 weeks with my parents to adopt my new little brother Hudson. I will have a whole post about everyday of the trip but for now here are some pictures taken on the trip! You my also click the icon below to see more pictures on my photo blog.
